My name is Peter Seckler and this is my website. Here's my official bio. I just found out I need one of these things.
Peter Seckler "Hey Kid Nice Robot"
Artist and electronic composer Peter Seckler has always been interested in musical experimentation. In the early 1980s he created recordings using multiple tape-recorders and improvised songs with guitar, accordion, ocarina and electronic toys. Later he took part in rock bands and worked with synthesizers (including the Arp 2600 synthesizer) and guitar effects. As a 1994 graduate of Texas Tech University, he took classes in experimental composition and learned from modern composer and librettist Steve Paxton. He is influenced by artists such as Raymond Scott, Reeves Gabrels, Cab Calloway, the Residents, and They Might Be Giants.
Hey Kid Nice Robot is a musical project that is focused on art-music that is actually fun to listen to. It started as an all-GameBoy music project, but it has since grown to incorporate other instruments.
Peter plays guitars, gameboys, synths, ocarina, controls loops, manipulates drum machines, and generates pure sounds from theremins and electronic toys. These sounds are arranged in a pleasing and earful fashion.
Yeah, I know earful isn't really a word. Still, it's pretty much earful.
